SacTown Mardi Gras
Our mission is to support and reinvigorate the diverse array of festivals, communities, and cultures in the Sacramento region. The New Orleans style Mardi Gras is celebrated as a 10-day season, we will create and provide an economic stimulant and business opportunities that stimulate growth in the city of Sacramento with an educational component that will ultimately contribute to a thriving local economy and culture. Wandering through the leafy boulevards, the route is a tribute to Sacramento’s natural splendor, with each float showcasing the diversity of flora and fauna that call this city home. Spectators are treated to the sight of towering redwoods, delicate wildflowers, and majestic oaks, all brought to life in stunning detail.

What Is Mardi Gras?
Mardi Gras: Celebrating with Music, Dance, Food, and Family Fun!
Mardi Gras, also known as Carnival or Carnaval, has been celebrated worldwide for centuries as a pre-Lenten feast before the fast. The most renowned celebrations take place in New Orleans, Brazil, and Italy. King Cake Parties, Masked Balls, Parades, Beads, Costumes, Foods, and Drinks- all taking on each location’s unique traditions and specialties. All of these events bring people together, showcasing their artistic celebrations through music, dance, food, drink, and family fun.
SacTown Mardi Gras aims to unite all cultures in the region to create by bringing the Mardi Gras/Carnaval festivities and culture to Sacramento with the ultimate goal of Sacramento creating our own. Our mission is to highlight the amazing communities, businesses, and leadership Sacramento has to offer. Not only does it bring the community together it positively impacts the economy by directing funds to local businesses and back into the community.
The SacTown Mardi Gras/Carnaval Season 2025 will commence from January 4, 2025 through March 4th 2025. The mission is to establish an annual celebration that will become a destination event for all.
